The good news is that I hiked with Emily twice and didn't suffer any broken or torn anything. I even managed to make it down some stone steps in the Wind Cave Trail! When Emily saw the steps she said, "Oh yay! Now I can break my ankle on the way down, like my dad!" She definitely has your sense of humor. ;-). I am sorry that it will take so long to recover. I have sprained rather badly my left ankle numerous times and love to watch the colors turn. Crutches, huh, they only gave me a cane the last time I sprained my ankle. Hope you are up and about soon.
