Finished!

I have finished taking all the stuff out of the camper.  If you don’t know, my camper has not had a good summer.  The insurance person who was here was pretty blunt about the fact that the entire inside would probably need to be replaced.  Since that costs ALOT of money, they would likely ‘total’ it, send me a check, and then come haul it away.

In anticipation, I decided it would be best to get as much out BEFORE someone is here waiting for me to get all the stuff out.  Let me tell you, it gets HOT inside a camper that is lying (laying??) on it’s side!  It was about 95 degree inside the camper, and going up and down the ladder didn’t help.  All I can say is that seeing it all up close really drive home the point on how they keep the weight down on them trailers.

Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before they decide what they will do and get the trailer. It is sad to see each day.  I will get another trailer someday, but probably not for a few years.  I will wait until the Pecan is old enough to enjoy it.  For now, a tent will suffice for me and the two older ones.

Have a safe weekend.  We leave early tomorrow morning to pick up the Peanut from camp.  She has been there almost TWO WEEKS!  So much has happened since then, I wonder if she will recognize us!

Boys will be Boyz!

Well, so much for a different week.  A pair of storms blew through this afternoon.  One names Walnut and the other named Almond.  I am working on painting their room while the Peanut is at camp.  I left most of my painting supplies on the counter last night, and this is what I came home too….

That would be spackle.  Wall patching spackle.  My poor wife, she was in tears.  I didn’t really seem to worried about it.  But then I am not 6 months pregnant either.  Anyway, it is mostly cleaned up.  The floor at least.  It will be awhile before it all get taken care of, but it should just wash away as long as it doesn’t get painted.  I am not too worried about it.  Sorry dear, I though it was pretty funny, but I know it was a really hard day for you.

Week in Review

Well, just to keep you all posted, and so that you don’t have to actually READ the other posts in case you have fallen behind, here is a quick, brief week in review for last week, July 7- July 13.

Monday, July 7th - Drove Peanut to camp.  Finnish Camp.  Hopefully she will be done now.  Just kidding, it’s a language camp and she really enjoys it.  I just wish it were closer.  It is 4 hours away.

Wednesday, July 9th - Ultrasound for my wife.  Another baby!  Yeah.  I was hoping it would show a baby and not a ham steak.  A girl this time.  Two of each, is that enough?

Also on Wednesday - Flat tire on motorcycle.  Too bad I was at work, 40 miles away. It’s a long walk.  Thankfully, a nice co-worker game me AND the bike a ride home.

Friday July 11 - Got the bike back with a new tire, then the storm hit and blew over the trailer!

Well, that is where I sit now.  I will keep you posted on the exciting things that happen this coming week. Hopefully nothing more than last week.

Have fun.

10 Items or Less (or more?)

OK, I am pretty sure I have written about this before, but I can’t find it. (I didn’t really look THAT hard, so sorry.)  I stop at the store to buy milk a lot.  I mean, I have 3 kids and a pregnant wife, so milk is pretty important.  I am pretty sure when the boys get to be in their teens, we will be able to support a dairy ourselves, but that is for another story.

This one is about me buying milk.  I buy milk alot, and I usually ONLY get milk.  2 gallons, one skim, one whole.  I sometimes also get a soda (or ‘pop’, or even ’soda pop’ for those so inclined!) for the drive home.  I can almost guarantee that of the two ‘express’ lanes at Wally’s Mart, that the person in front of me should NOT be in that line.  Why is that?  Why does the cashier put up with someone pulling into their lane when they have 2 full carts? Is this a shopper so illiterate they can’t tell the sign says 10 items and they obviously have 4,000?  Has our public education system failed to badly, that customers these days can no longer count to 10?  I don’t know.  My thought is that people just don’t care what other people think, and the cashier doesn’t want to get yelled at for saying anything.  It’s pretty sad really.  I have gotten dirty looks from people when my children ask to go into the express lane and I loudly tell them we won’t, because someone can’t count their items, and the ‘Express’ lane has a traffic jam!

Enough of my griping! Today was a great day weather wise.  Mid 70’s on the temp, slight breeze, and NO RAIN!  Maybe some rain tomorrow, but I will still ride the bike to work. Why?  Because it saves me money!  And the more money I save, the faster I pay off my debt, and the faster I can get the bike I want!  A Lime Green Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom.  I will take donations towards the purchase of this bike.

Have a great day!

Nothing, really nothing!

I don’t really have anything to write about.  I just remembered that I have a blog, and that I need to post every now and then.  So, here I am.

Life has been good.  The weather is FINALLY starting to act like summer, at least in the afternoon.  Since I got my bike, it has been nice exactly two (2) times.  I have ridden outside of going to work maybe three times.  Not what I expected!  But hey, I am riding it to work everyday.  I have only missed three days due to the weather.  High wind and rain in the morning will keep me from riding.  Not cold.  I did ride to work when it was 32 degrees.  It was cold, but I made it with all fingers and toe intact! Here is a picture of me on the bike,

The Peanut and I goin\' for a ride!

Wow.  That actually worked. As you can see, I pretty much look like a dork, but I am safe and saving big $$ on gasoline.  I have driven the bike about 2200 miles since I got it, which is about half as much as the previous owner put on it in 6 years.  At least I am getting my time in on the bike.  I am actually starting to feel pretty comfortable, I even rode on the freeway today!  To bad the freeway sucks, and it was a terrible ride.  Oh well, always tomorrow.

My sister wrote in her blog today about how she is a terrible aunt because she let our nephew play with the lawn mower.  I wonder then what this makes me:

I guess I should feel OK about it. She is wearing ear protection, AND sunscreen.  She seems so big, and yet so small at the same time.  But she is having the time of her life, and I don’t need to mow the lawn anymore! Yea! This is the reason to have kids.  Now, she just needs to get better at painting…

But I digress, This post has taken up enough of your valuable time.  Y’all have a good night.
