Thursday, May 28th

I can’t think of titles, so that will be it from now on.  All posts will be Thursday, May 28th!  HA!

This morning I was doing some taking care of some financial stuff, like entering information into my checkbook ( ok, really I was entering it into a program that keeps track of my money.  Does anyone actually use the register in their checkbook anymore to keep track of their balance?  How last century!)

Anyway, I realized that I have more money than I think.  A lot more.  Since taking the Dave Ramsey class, it has become apparent to me that we all probably have more money than we think.  We have just become hoodwinked into believing that debt (i.e. CREDIT ) is OK.  It’s not!  I highly doubt that my Grandparent even had credit cards.  I am sure I will be corrected on this if I am wrong, so correct away!

Anyhow, my point is that in today’s society, not only do people have their priorities wrong, our entire attitude about money is messed up.  I am not going to rant about that right now.  I have to go to work, and I try to keep my posts short.  Maybe another time.

In other things, to my sister, Argh!  I hardly know you apparently!  But to be fair, you were just RAVING about the Star Trek movie, so that was a bit of a trick question.  And I was certain it was you, not our brother who liked shrimp.  So, I guess I really go 80% on the quiz.  I am glad to see that I was able to get all the important question correct.

It looks like it will be a nice day, finally.  I actually have my bike back, and we are much the poorer for it.  But it runs wonderfully now, and it should run well for another 12k miles, when we will do this all over again.  With the way gas prices have been going up in the past two weeks, it will be nice to ride the bike and save some money.

Have a great Thursday!

  1. I still use the register in my checkbook. :-(

I totally agree with you about credit card debt and priorities. Now that I have paid off my debt, I feel that a weight has been lifted, and I am amazed that I actually have money.

I paid for my entire trip to Ireland with CASH…and actually came back with about $1000 I didn’t spend. That felt SO good!

  2. It’s gonna take awhile to recoup the money spent on the repair-don’t kind yourself motorcycle lovin’ man
