What???

So, I just read this article about the Sears Tower, where they are adding these glass bottom viewing platforms to the sky deck visitor area.  This is not a good idea.  I mean, who in their right mind would want to have just 1 1/2 inches of glass between them and the ground.  I was getting anxious just reading this article.  Apparently, this sort of thing has been done before at the Grand Canyon, and the big needle thing in some other city that I can’t remember right now.

So maybe I am overreacting.  I am horribly afraid of heights.  Pretty much anything higher than I am tall and I don’t do really well.  I can force myself onto a ladder to paint and such, but just the thought of standing on a THIN piece of glass with nothing else between me and the pavement is 1 1/2 inches of glass, and about 103 stories of air!
